Designs For Stories
These are character designs I sketched for short stories I wrote.
Once upon a time, there was a siren who loved to make friends with creatures and to do so, he would sing to them above the water.
Every day, he would swim up to the surface and sing a song to make friends.
One day, he saw a girl whom he hadn’t seen before. No matter how loud he sang, she couldn't hear him as she was deaf. When she turned around, she was startled and fled. The siren became discouraged from making friends. He ran home to cry.
Just as he was about to go home, he noticed a pufferfish nearby drawing a pattern in the sand for another pufferfish.
Because of that, he gets an idea. He swam up, and the girl kept panicking when he saw the siren.
Finally, they saw the siren drawing in the sand, “Hello,” and the girl calmed down and smiled. They became good friends.
Once upon a time, there was a vampire who liked to sit on her balcony just before sunrise.
Every day, she would wish in vain that she could see the sunrise; she even bought a painting of it.
One day, she tried to withstand the sunlight, but burned her skin. This made her even more upset, and she started to hate that she was a vampire.
Because of that, her friend came over to cheer her up. But, seeing the painting on the wall, she was still depressed.
Because of that, they told her that they used to envy her as they wished that they could see the full moon, but they couldn’t because they’d turn into a werewolf and lose control. Eventually they realized they were content with looking at the sunrise as it was just as beautiful.
Finally, the vampire realized that you can’t have everything you want, and that’s okay because she has everything she needs, an already beautiful view and a good friend.
